Keep Calm and Carry On…

Here we are again in eclipse season and during a time of great change. These unprecedented times can feel very chaotic and unsettling. It is very important to return to our calm, grounded center and to live our lives from that place regardless of what is going on around us. This is a possibility even when we are in the midst of personal and collective challenges. As microcosms of the whole, this is a way to reduce suffering within ourselves and to simultaneously impact those around us and the collective in a positive way.

Ten Tips to help you to be the calm in the midst of any storm:

  1. Unplug from news, social media, television and the radio and turn inward. We often look for the answers outside of us when the wellspring of insight and connection is within ourselves. It’s difficulty to hear the voice of your higher self, guides, divine spirt, and the Universe if we are not willing to get still, quiet the mind, and go within. Listen to your intuition and find your own truth rather than relying on outside sources.

  2. Spend time in nature to quiet the mind and replenish.

  3. Connect with your body through movement. Feel deeply within your tissues, muscles, and organs as you move. Your body loves your undivided attention.

  4. As you connect with your body, talk to it. Ask it what it needs from you and meet that need. Let it know how much you appreciate how it holds up for you. Tell it it’s ok not to be perfect, it’s ok to rest, that you love it, or whatever it needs to hear.

  5. Breathe consciously. Allow your abdomen to rise as you inhale while the breath moves up your body, then exhale and while allowing the breath to move down your body. A few deep breaths can make a difference or rhythmic breathing in this pattern for several minutes can induce the parasympathetic relaxation response. Try it, anywhere, anytime, even multiple times each day.

  6. Meditate. This can be by focusing on your breath, a positive mantra, listening to a guided meditation, or whatever works for you. Here is a link to Tips for Beginning a Meditation Practice. For guided meditations, enjoy those provided in this newsletter, others on our free resources page, or try the I AM Meditations and Hypno-Realizations available in our store.

  7. Focus on the things you can influence or control. Put your attention into positive potentials and outcomes rather than thinking the worst, which induces anxiety and fear. Where your attention goes, the energy flows. Do you want to be part of the co-creation of a reality that creates more turmoil and suffering or would you like to co-create the New Earth where we rise together through community, peace, compassion, love, and unity?

  8. Trust that something much bigger than us that has got this handled and has our highest good in store.

  9. Seek support… you are not alone and don’t have to do it alone.

  10. Do your inner-work. As we each clean up our side of the street we feel better and impact our family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and the collective in a positive way. Kindness is contagious and it starts within yourself!

We are each here during this interesting time because we chose to be here on a soul level. We were made for these interesting times and each have what we need to navigate this terrain deep within.
